Leonardo × @wastedpaper - Essenza Poliedrica Leo Angeles Fountain Pen

I wanted this to be an homage to one of my favorite designers, whose mantra, “Be meaningfully different,” shaped my entire approach to this project. The Leonardo Poliedrica embodies that philosophy perfectly from its distinctive faceted form to its triangular grip. Since the designer is based in Los Angeles, I chose what I feel are the city’s most iconic colors: gold and purple. But it was important to interpret them in a way that still honored that mantra so I worked with D2 to create a vertical line style blank. The final touch was engraving the actual phrase on the pen. I hope that when you reach for this pen, you see that engraving and it encourages you to embrace your own meaningfully different path.
